What you have all been waiting for!

Okay, finally, I will try to blog. To say the last few days have been a whirlwind would be an understatement. Because our Internet is extremely sketchy, I'm going to do several short blogs so you can get an idea of what our days have been like instead of trying to do one long thing.

Friday night -headed to the airport all set to go only to find out our flight had been canceled. We spent an hour trying to rearrange things. We headed back home and slept until about 4:00. We were back at the airport at 5:00. Our flight left at 6:23. It was uneventful and we arrived on time. Shawn Mansfield, a new friend, met us at the airport, and shuttled us from Reagan to Dulles - a casualty of having to rearrange the flight to a different airline.

We made it fine and left on time. Our flight to Beijing was long, but uneventful. The flight attendants were even able to keep Noah and Jeff up to date on the Auburn-Missouri game. Kayleigh did pretty well on the flight and slept a few times, which really helped. I don't think any of the rest of us slept. We arrived on time in Beijing. It took about an hour to get through customs. We were met by Helen outside the baggage area and headed off to the hotel, after stopping to by train tickets for the next day, waters, and dinner.
